At Dtown Coffee Roasters, we are fueled by a passion for coffee that spans nearly three decades. With 28 years of experience as a barista and a deep-rooted connection to the hospitality cafe scene, Christos Panas, our founder, has honed his craft to perfection.
Christos has not only immersed himself in the art of coffee but has also showcased his skills on competitive platforms. His participation in barista competitions in Sydney and Melbourne, including his remarkable second-place win in the cafe Biz Pura latte art Smackdown in 2013, is a testament to his dedication and expertise.
In 2016, Dtown Coffee Roasters was born out of a vision to establish the first commercial local brand of coffee in Darwin. Christos recognized the need for high-quality coffee that could rival the offerings enjoyed by coffee enthusiasts interstate. With no roasters in Darwin at the time, he set out to create a coffee brand that locals could proudly identify with, giving rise to the name Dtown Coffee Roasters, a nod to Darwin's nickname.
Our commitment to excellence has not gone unnoticed. In 2022, we were honored to receive a Bronze medal for our Espresso Blend in the prestigious Austral Asian Golden Bean Awards, specifically in the Milk-Based Category. This recognition serves as a testament to the exceptional quality and craftsmanship that goes into each of our coffee blends.
